Westfield ABC News

On June 12, 2010, the Westfield Mustangs represented and took 1st place overall at the 2010 Texas Strongman Challenge held at The Woodlands High School. There were 12 teams that represented high schools around the Houston area. Schools represented included Klein Collins, Klein Oak, Klein Forest, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Giddings, and others.

The Mustangs dominated the challenge by taking 1st place in 9 out of 10 events, including Tire Flips, Obstacle Course, 185 Bench Press Reps, Tug of War, and Medicine Ball Throws. Players that brought home the gold were as follows: Desmond Jackson, Anthony Smith, Caleb Ealy, Mike Joyce, Trent Williams, Damond King, Bryant Davis, Xavier Green, Hardreck Walker, and Marquel Pierson.

Congratulations to those players and the Westfield Mustang Football Program. Their next challenge will be held on July 7th at Forney High School at the Indoor Athletic Complex for the State Championship Rounds.

On May 20, 2009, at the Westfield High School Spring Football Scrimmage, at WHS, the Westfield Athletic Booster Club presented a $5,000.00 check donation to the Westfield Athletic Department. The WABC is a 501(c)(3) and tax-exempt organization that since 1982 has supported all the sports at Westfield.
